JEMAPUR - Mode Cleaner

For Omen Wapta’s inaugural release, Japanese musician/sound designer/coder/producer JEMAPUR explores the far reaches of abstract experimental techno on his album Mode Cleaner. Pulling from music that the Nagano-based artist made between 2016 and 2020, the album demonstrates JEMAPUR’s distinctive use of glitch, microsampling, live coding, and granular synthesis techniques. As the producer explains, Mode Cleaner was made at a time when his subconscious was being drawn towards subjects like physics, geometry, murals, ancient civilisations, the logic of nature, and the observation of the universe. Intricate yet expressive, cerebral yet sensory, melancholic yet vivid, the Mode Cleaner album comes a decade-plus into JEMAPUR’s career of innovative electronic music. In 2019, he was invited to become an artist-in-residence at Amsterdam’s De School, where he was introduced to Omen Wapta’s Woody92.

CF. OW. Is a collaboration between Camiel Fortgens and Omen Wapta.  
Curated and designed by Camiel and Woody92. The collection consists of 9 styles, 
all of which have a significant nod to the aesthetics of Camiel Fortgens garments. 

All garments include a hang tag with a QR code. By taking a picture of the QR code, you're able to download two exclusive unreleased.
One from JEMAPUR and the other from Yuki Matsumura. These tracks are a reflection of the music that comes out on the label.   

Camiel Fortgens B.V. is an Amsterdam-based clothing brand.
A hub of people working to uncover the unpolished nature of people and their social behavior, in which clothing and imagery play a major role. 
CF was catapulted into existence in 2014 when Camiel graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven. 
His choice not to go to fashion school left him untarnished by the rules of fashion. This allowed him to look at things from scratch.
Creating garments and running the brand in an unpolluted manner.
Instead we search for what feels right today, creating an image/philosophy that challenges what we know and consider to be normal.
Working with shapes, fabrics and details of archetypal garments.
